    Deming, New Mexico

    PROJECT DETAILS:

    This design-build 42,000 sf facility is comprised of administrative offices, officer training areas, male and female locker rooms, exercise room, control/dispatch, processing and holding cells. Separate but on the same site is a vehicle maintenance facility and fueling equipment. The grounds contain parking for staff, visitors and impounded vehicles as well as a car wash, fuel island, dog kennels, horse stables, helicopter pad and a radio tower. The facility was designed to hold a maximum of 200 agents and 120 detainees. Exterior materials were selected to blend with the desert terrain utilizing masonry block, both smooth and split face, in shades of tan, terra cotta and cactus green.

    PROJECT DETAILS:

    This design-build 21,000 sf facility is comprised of administrative offices, officer training areas, male and female locker rooms, exercise room, control/dispatch, processing and holding cells. The grounds also contain parking, vehicle maintenance, car wash, vehicle impound, fuel island, dog kennels, and radio tower. The facility was designed to hold a maximum of 95 agents and 80 detainees. Exterior materials were selected to blend with the surrounding terrain while the actual building design transitions the use of natural light for office spaces with the security features necessary for the detention area. The final effect provides an attractive, yet private, view from the main access road.
