LOCATION:

PROJECT DETAILS:
Located in Phoenix, Arrington Watkins designed this facility on a five acre site. Project includes administrative offices, gymnasium/cafeteria, library, and 23 classrooms. Located along a major wash provide the site with a desert view and a buffer zone but required additional flood plain design.

Las Artes Community Mosaic Arts Program

PROJECT DETAILS:
Arrington Watkins was contracted by Maricopa County to create new classroom space, workspace, offices, toilets and appropriate mechanical areas while maintaining the exterior facade historic Santa Fe Depot. This project will house the Las Artes Community Mosaic Arts Program.
Las Artes is a community arts program that addresses the educational needs of dropout and at-risk youth.

New Century School

PROJECT DETAILS:
The project includes 4 new classroom buildings (13 classes and offices). Existing classrooms buildings were renovated as well as the administrative offices, multi-purpose building, and gymnasium. In addition to physical reconfiguration of rooms, many of the existing buildings was brought up to current codes requiring new ADA fixtures, updated mechanical systems and a new campus wide fire alarm system.

This project was for two small schools, a high school and an elementary, sharing the same 5 acre site in Phoenix, Arizona. This project was never built due to funding difficulties.

SRP / MIC School Building

When Salt River Pima / Maricopa Indian Community was faced with replacing their elementary school due to safety concerns, they contracted Arrington Watkins to site adapt a previous project's building. The previous design was duplicated twice, reprogrammed and redesigned to create a new K-12 campus for the community's students. This campus will be used until the new facility is constructed. After that, the community will readapt the site for other administrative/community functions.
