PROJECT DETAILS:
The second floor of the Apache Substation includes a 911 Call Center and Dispatch Center. Arrington Watkins created a space that would allow the users to move around the facility but maintain accessibility to the console areas. Each side of the call center contains 12 workstations and supervisors offices. Supervisors for 911 and Dispatch can monitor the area via an elevated workstation. The four station-training center is separated from the regular facility by a special partition door creating a sound proof barrier from the regular call center operations. These training center systems are connected to the dispatch system and can go live in case of emergency. The entire facility includes complete redundant power and cooling systems.
