    Arrington Watkins was contracted by Maricopa County to assess the potential for the Madison St. Jail. Options were based on a room by room analysis which included the possibility of reuse, renovate or the complete demolition of the facility.

    PROJECT DETAILS:

    The San Juan County Jail consists of a booking area, medical, pre-arraignment courtroom, public visitation, general and special management population housing. The podular design utilized on the project increased staff efficiency and allowed more programming space on the site. Arrington Watkins was able to sort through the space requirements and was allowable provided additional functions. In addition, Arrington Watkins analyzed building materials to give the County the maximum value for the tight budget without compromising security.

  • Loudoun County Jail Expansion

    LOCATION:

    Loudoun County, Virgina

    PROJECT DETAILS:

    Hensel Phelps and HSMM Engineers contacted Arrington Watkins the summer of 2007 to assist in the design of the Loudoun County Jail. This design/build $48 million expansion consists of two new housing units for 256 beds. The housing units are designed for both medium and maximum custody inmates. Also included in the design is a new intake and release, new magistrates area, new vehicle sally port, additional parking and revised perimeter fencing. The expansion was designed to minimize impact on the operations.
