Arrington Watkins provided design services for a new 33,000 SF, state-of-the-art property and evidence storage facility for the City of Mesa Police Department. This facility accommodates the department’s current inventory, which includes approximately 390,000 items in general storage and nearly 60,000 items in freezer storage. The building’s size was carefully planned to account for the city’s population growth and to adapt to evolving industry standards for evidence retention. With an average annual intake of around 55,622 items and retention laws requiring evidence storage for a minimum of 55 years, this facility is critical for expanding responsible storage capacity.
