Client involvement in project planning is crucial for success of the transmission of ideas and goals into a built environment. Our programming process is a comprehensive, integrated method of inquiry that most often includes input from the line level employees. This information gathering process is accomplished with surveys, interviews, growth analysis studies, as well as researching historic and developing operational statements. Effective communication is essential and is accomplished not only verbally but graphically. Our programming database and space area diagrams we have developed are unique and allow us to present space assignment, staffing levels, area requirements, shifting, FTE’s, and functional spaces in a manner that is readily reviewed and discussed by owners and users. Our adjacency studies clarify relationships between spaces and services. Our space diagrams are two and three-dimensional and include equipment, finishes, furnishings, MPE and communications requirements. Our programming process establishes project quality, size and budgetary costs.
